External Learning Opportunities

In addition to the learning opportunities available via the HSCP programme and Virtual College eLearning platform, HSCP are sharing the following information as additional useful learning opportunities that support safeguarding practice.

eLearning: 

Prevent duty training – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) – Access training courses on the Prevent duty, the threat from terrorism and extremism in the UK and how to support people susceptible to radicalisation

Free online training from Zero Suicide Alliance –   online training courses teach you the skills and confidence to have a potentially life-saving conversation with someone you’re worried about.

E-learning (autism.org.uk) – A guide to mental health experiences and needs of autistic teenagers is free during 2024. (you will need to register for an account – log in –  free eLearning modules – teen mental health).

We Stand Training Programme 2023-24 – programme to support delegates working with families impacted by child sexual abuse. Training available in March 2024 – Supervising CSA for managers

Free webinar: Recognising and Responding to Children’s Disclosures of Sexual Abuse – develop confidence in your ability to recognise and positively respond to possible disclosures of child sexual abuse. Wednesday 8th May 2024 10am to 12pm

Teacher Toolkit – Hounslow SEND – Support Children and Young People with SEND to Understand Healthy Relationships and Gender Equality. Thursday 25th April 2024 4pm – 5pm
